This policy applies to the TomTom passenger app, driver app, related websites, and support channels operated from Guwahati, Assam, India.
1. What we collect
- Account details you provide (name, mobile number, profile photo; drivers also upload verification documents and vehicle details).
- Trip details (pickup/drop addresses, route, distance, fare, timestamps, ratings).
- Location data while booking, online as a driver, or during an active trip.
- Device and app diagnostics needed to run and secure the service.
- Driver subscription payment references processed by our payment partner (e.g. Razorpay) — we do not store full card details.
2. Why we collect it
To match rides, calculate fares, show trip history, verify drivers, process subscriptions, respond to SOS, prevent fraud, and provide support.
3. Location
Location is used for pickup detection, nearby driver matching, and live trip maps. You can deny permission and set locations manually, though booking and dispatch work less well without it. Drivers need location while online or on a trip.
4. What we share
- Assigned drivers see passenger first name, phone, and trip points; passengers see driver name, vehicle, and phone.
- SOS alerts share live location and ride context with our control room.
- Payment processors receive data needed to charge driver subscriptions.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect safety.
We do not sell personal data.
5. Retention
We keep account and ride records while your account is active, and afterwards only as needed for legal, tax, or dispute resolution.
6. Security
Access is limited to authorised staff. Login uses OTP. No system is perfectly secure — never share your OTP. Our staff will never ask for it.
7. Your rights
You can view and edit profile details in the apps. To request a copy of your data or deletion of your account, see Delete account or email support@tomtomrides.in.
8. Children
TomTom is not intended for anyone under 18.
