1. About the service
TomTom is a technology platform connecting passengers with independent e-rickshaw and auto drivers. We are not a transport operator and do not own or operate the vehicles. Each ride is a contract between passenger and driver.
2. Accounts
Users must be 18+. Provide a valid mobile number and keep OTP access secure. Drivers must complete verification with accurate documents. One person, one account.
3. Fares and payment
Fares are calculated by TomTom from distance and time using published rules and shown before booking. Neither party may negotiate the fare. Passengers pay the driver directly in cash or UPI. TomTom does not collect ride payments. Drivers may pay a subscription to stay online.
4. Final fare
The pre-booking amount is an estimate. The final fare uses distance actually travelled (and may reflect an early end). The amount is shown in the app when the trip completes.
5. Cancellations and early end
Passengers may cancel before the trip starts. After start, ending the trip finalizes a fare for distance already travelled. Excessive cancellations may lead to temporary restrictions.
6. Conduct
Treat others with respect. Do not carry illegal goods, damage vehicles, exceed capacity, demand overcharges, or ask anyone to break traffic rules. We may suspend accounts for abuse or unsafe behaviour.
7. Ride PIN
Each trip has a 4-digit start PIN. Passengers share it only in the correct vehicle. The trip cannot begin until the driver enters it.
8. Availability
We aim to match drivers quickly but cannot guarantee acceptance or uninterrupted service.
9. Liability
Drivers are independent operators responsible for vehicle, licence, insurance and driving. To the extent permitted by law, TomTom is not liable for acts of drivers or passengers. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
11. Governing law
Laws of India apply. Courts at Guwahati, Assam shall have jurisdiction.
